Rosie-The Mad Scientist on a Mission

At last, Rosie found where she had left her broom. She squealed with excitement. Rosie had planned on getting an earlier start on her day out. Though, honestly, she had a habit of being forgetful. Her mind so frequently ran away from her, and she would try to catch up, often leaving her jumping from one thing to the next. Her friends and family were always telling her to slow down or focus on one task at a time. She was frequently told she was too scatter-brained.

However, she had long ago accepted that her energy and excitement for so many things left others feeling like they had walked into a whirlwind. At one time, she tried to be like everyone else and would resist the temptation to move about and create like a mad scientist on a mission. Unfortunately, that made her feel like she was living a lie and denying herself the opportunity to be who she was. She finally got so frustrated with living like this, trying to live up to the expectations of what was socially acceptable.

Rosie reflected on her personal growth, regardless of what others thought about her. She was proud of herself for taking back her power and living as her authentic self. Sure, sometimes she had to speak encouragingly to herself and remind herself that everyone had something about them that made them feel different. After all, that is part of the magic of being an individual. While we all have our similarities, we also have our differences. Rosie thought out loud, and those differences should be celebrated because they are a part of what makes each and every one of us special.

Deep in thought, she accidentally stepped on poor Cosmo’s tail and startled him. His fir stood up, and he hissed his disapproval. She responded lovingly, “I’m sorry Cosmo, I didn’t see you there!” Still, in a huff, he turned his back to Rosie, letting her know that he was not going to let her off the hook so easily. Too bad you are so mad at me Cosmo, I’m going to the gardens today, and I know how much you love to explore and climb their epic trees. Before she could say anything else, Cosmo was purring and rubbing up against her legs. She knew Cosmo would not be able to resist a trip to the local gardens.

Feeling satisfied with herself, Rosie walked off to the kitchen to pack some treats for their trip. Then she remembered the main reason for her adventure to the gardens was to restock some of her more specialized herbs and plants. Rosie wandered off to her potions room to collect some jars to put the various plants and herbs in. She also remembered that she wanted to take her potions ledger to help her remember everything she needed. Rosie had recently been experimenting with some new transfiguration potions that required lots of unusual plants that only a trip to the gardens would fix. Rosie laughed to herself, maybe, she was a mad scientist on a mission!

A take away of empowerment from my heart to yours…

So often, our light, confidence, standing in our truth, and loving who we are get chipped away. Sometimes we need reminders of how amazing we are and the difference we can make in the lives of others and the world around us. Though sometimes, we set the expectations for ourselves too high. We forget that we can make a difference in small ways, and those small ways can make a huge impact that we may never see.

I know we all get caught up in this cycle. However, we need to frequently check in with ourselves to make sure we are filling up our own cups. That way, we can continue filling up the cups of others around us. Just like our electronics need recharging, so do we. I’m not just talking about getting a good night’s rest every night.

Yes, this is a very significant part of making sure our basic needs are met we also need to check in with our mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being regularly. We need to make sure all these needs are being met so we can shine at our brightest. That way, we can create a ripple effect in the world. It is the ripple effect of small acts that have the power to make a huge impact.

So here’s a reminder to be gentle with yourself, love yourself, recharge, and fill up your cup so you can shine bold and beautiful as your authentic self.

    1. Thank you Kevin! 😃I think it’s a a little message we all need sometimes. 😉 Doing the reading was so much fun. I think it’s something I’d like to incorporate a little bit more.❤️
