There’s something about being vulnerable and authentically yourself that is both freeing and terrifying.
The word connection has been on my mind a lot recently, I’m trying to create more time to connect with friends, family, and yes myself too. Some might say taking time to focus on yourself is selfish. Though, through personal experience I’ve learned it to be the complete opposite.

As a recovering person pleaser and natural “caregiver” in personality, I’ve learned that if we don’t make regular time to fill our cups, we’re depleting ourselves and not truly giving our best selves in any given situation. I highly recommend a little bit daily, starting with getting 7-9 hours of sleep, moving your body, eating healthy and wholesome foods, and doing little things that make you smile.
I know feeling more time to connect with myself and giving myself permission to play and just to dive in and have honest fun makes all the difference in my daily mindset in doing all the things I have to do, in my interactions with others, and in my connection with creativity and inspiration. I’m inviting myself to explore, experiment, and get curious without judgments and end expectations…it’s truly freeing…not to mention my muse says frequently…”That looks like fun, can I play too?”

So I highly encourage you to please go put on some fun songs and dance like nobody’s watching, snap that interesting photo, try a new recipe, belt out your favorite song, get out there have some and play to your heart’s content!😊 💕
Hi Jenna! Great advice ! 🙂
Hi Jenna! Great advice ! 🙂
I know it’s so easy to just get stuck in the go, go, go mentality…I know I’m definitely guilty of this and I’m truly working not getting boggled down in to do lists that I forget to have fun, breathe, and play too. 😉❤️
Yes, Jenna! Connecting with self before we connect with others is important and not selfish at all. Loving others becomes easy when we love ourselves.
So good to read your thoughts, sweet Jenna! 😊🤗❤️🌷
