There’s something about a sunny day that fills me with joy when I have the opportunity to get out and explore. Something I always look forward to is my evening walks with my husband. My energy is like that of a little butterfly fluttering about from flower to flower or a squirrel’s eager curiosity to explore the world around me.

I especially like it when we have time to stroll without having to worry about the weather or having to be up early the next morning. Though the summer is heating up fast and that makes our walks much hotter, unless we wait until just before or after dark. In this case, I get to enjoy the magic of the night’s moon.
The first photo shared in this post inspired a drawing and a short poem…granted the drawing is still a work in progress. It filled me with a sweeping sense of magic that I wanted to share here with all of my special rays of sunshine that continue to inspire me.

My spirit flitters through fields of gold
A delicious breeze whisking me to and fro
Sunshine blossoms a dizzying delight
Granted, this flower above is not a sunflower….it made me think of sunflowers and their beautiful golden hue. The thought truly sparks a feeling of joy in my heart.
My hope for this week is that you find a moment of magic and let it sweep you away and fill you with the warmth of a sunny day.
So lovely ! Makes me think of the song Fields of Gold π Wishing you a wonderful week ahead of sunshine and joy!

My hope for this week is that you find a moment of magic and let it sweep you away and fill you with the warmth of a sunny day.
….i love that you said that…the world is in so much chaos that we sometimes have forgotten to feel that sense of awe and magic in even the simplest thing or event in our daily life such as a silent stroll around our neighborhood..
I agree Mich, so much sadness and strife all around us that we get pulled into feeling hopeless and angry and forget to just let go and enjoy little moments…like the feel of your toes in the warm sand…or a light rain on a sunny day. We just need to stop and fill our senses in such little moments. Like I like to have just a small square of dark chocolate with some berries every night. I enjoy closing my eyes smelling the dark chocolate aroma before nibbling just a little bit at time and letting it melt in my mouth taking in each little note and texture as I eat my food. It’s so much more of an experience doing these little things and enjoying the whole experience. It makes us calmer, more connected, and more joyful for the little things. πβ€οΈ
You are correct Jenna…we too busy and too pre occupied that we missed the little things and simple joys
Yes, taking time to slow down even for just a little bit each day to get out in nature, enjoy a conversation, or doing something that brings us joy is such an important thing. β€οΈ
Loved the line “dizzying delights” something so childlike about it…reminds me of spinning around and around as a child in the summer time!
Exactly what I had in mind…that childhood like gleeπβ€οΈ

Your post is a moment of magic! That squirrel looked right at you for his 15 minutes of WP fame – adorable picture! Iβve always loved evening walks… glad yours was inspirational!
I think evening walks were ingrained in me from my childhood. Lol…my mommy and I always took evening walks with me and when she couldn’t my sister and I always went as I got older. It’s definitely a relaxing way to unwind from the day and enjoy the moment. ππ
What a wonderful family tradition! β€οΈ
