Surrender beckoned me
Enticed by the sunshine’s warm glow
Serenity found me sipping tea
Perched comfortably beneath the old oak tree
Apparently it’s the cold season here where I live in Florida. A head cold mingled with laryngitis is going around and I managed to catch it. It’s forced me to surrender and slow down this week.
I haven’t had a voice for almost a week and I’m slowly getting betting. I know that my body is still weak and healing from other health issues and that’s it’s important to take care of myself.
My husband and I continue to take nightly walks and the weather has been absolutely beautiful. It’s been good for my mind, body, and spirit to get out into the fresh air every evening and soak in the blissful sunny days.
While out on one of our evening walks this week, the above poem filled my head and I quickly jotted it into notes on my phone. It’s such a delightful image that I wanted to share it here with all my friends.
Let the late spring days fill your senses and remind you to slow down and enjoy the little moments all around you. Come sit in the Garden Cafe with me and sip on your favorite beverage of choice. Soak up the sun, read a good book, and enjoy the company of this soulful community.
Have a wonderful week filled with many moments of serenity!
