Spread the love

Hello all my lovely rays of sunshine!

Today’s topic of choice weighing on my heart is Perspective. The way we choose to perceive the world around us is all about attitude and choice. I’ve known people in my life that have been touched by tremendous tragedy and yet still had such a good heart and were filled with hope, love, and light that bubbled contagiously into the lives and hearts of others they interacted with.  It’s people that no matter what falls upon their should choose to have a positive outlook and continue to fill the world with love and kindness that truly touches my heart.

This morning I heard about yet another shooting at a Synagog in California, which truly breaks my heart as my thoughts and prayers go out to the lives that were touched by this tragedy that they may find the strength and courage in them that they need in this difficult time. So many countries around the world have been touched by grief and tragic incidents like this and it’s easy to be fueled with anger and hostility for these horrific acts of persecution. It’s easy to let fear into our hearts and take over our lives.

However, these kinds of negative perspectives only invite more negativity into our lives and the world around us. This is not to say that we shouldn’t feel sadness or accept such horrible acts of cruelty and persecution as a natural part of life. Just the opposite I believe that it’s a call to action to put more tolerance, love, kindness, empathy, and compassion into our hearts, lives, and the world around us.

On that note, though I was not selected, I felt compelled to join in on this weeks Quote me 3.2.1. Challenge created by Rory over at A Guy Called Bloke. This week’s challenge is on having A Positive Outlook, which feels uniquely fitting to my hearts call to action encouraging the world to embrace their unique shine and share it with the world today!

“We’re all broken thats how the light gets in.”

-Ernest Hemingway

This quote by Ernest Hemingway reminds me of the Japanese tradition Kintsugi repairing broken pottery with a special lacquer dusted with gold, silver, or platinum. This tradition of celebrating the beauty in the broken and wearing the scar as a badge of honor is simply touching.

“What lies behind us and what lies before us are small matters compared to what lies within us.”

-Emerson

Such a quote full of wisdom, after all it’s what’s on the inside of us that counts. It’s where our unique essence flows waiting to come alive and be shared with the world. Don’t be afraid of the light that burns deep within you waiting for you to set the word on fire with the warmth that you have to offer.

“For the record darling, not all change feels positive in the beginning.”

-S.C. Lourie

Change (even good change) can feel utterly dark and lonely in the beginning. However, as you continue to move forward one day at a time with courage placed upon your shoulders clarity slowly comes into view and we better understand the reason behind the journey and the road gets easier to bear as you continue down the path.

So today, I hope I’ve brought you a reminder of how special you are. Keeping letting your light shine bright and sprinkle a little sparkle wherever you go. Let your warmth and kindness melt away the ice from the hearts of the broken to fill the cracks with their golden light.

  3. I totally agree with this! Perspective can dictate how we deal with a situation – whether it will inspire us or depress us. Great reminder here! Hope you are doing well and that your appointment went well. ❤️

    1. Thank you Irma! I total agree with you, it goes back to the eye of the holder concept. It’s up to us in how we choose to respond to our experiences. My appointment gave me some hope, and I’m going through some my testing and will be putting together a natural try plan after all the testing comes back. ❤️

  4. My dear Jenna,

thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and words and the beautiful poem written by your heart 🙂

Those negative events, when people kill other people, even in the name of God, they prove themselves to be negative as love does not know any violence. Hate and violence belong the negative power, but those people doing such human crime they are not even aware of what they are doing, because if they would be, they would realize their evil deeds and consequences (that many people are suffering due to their unconscious and negative deeds) – they do not know that they shoot themselves with it…

Warm hugs and much love to you, my dear friend

      1. My dear Jenna,

You can also try out this: always in the morning on empty stomach drink tea with lots of lemon. After it do not eat for at least 2 hours. The whole process do over 2 weeks. This has helped also other people with certain bacteria in their body.

From heart to heart much love to you 🤗💖🤗💖🤗💖

      2. It’s definitely worth a try, as much as I love my lemons they have not been agreeing with me recently. However, I read a few medical articles that say drinking it this way may help.

Sending you lots of love, hugs, light Didi my dear friend 😊 ❤️ 🤗💖🤗💞

      3. Yes, my dear Jenna – I think it will help you and remember always to drink the tea with lots of lemon juice on an empty stomach, then wait two hours before you have breakfast. When following it over 2 weeks like this, it should help you, as I believe.
Wish for you a strong health condition again, my dear friend.
Much love and many warm hugs to you, dear Jenna 🙂 🤗💖 🤗💖 🤗💖
