Brigid the Celtic sun goddess
Her spirit had become restless
Her dismal mood
Transversed the surrounding lands
A sweeping plague of melancholy
Wanderlust filled her soul
She decided to strike out on her own
She would travel the world
She would forge a new home
Like a seafaring pirate,
She sailed the seven seas
Amphitrite their mighty mistress
Was not pleased
Her soul raged and thrashed
The loss of her dear friend
With a glimmer of hope
She sought land
She ended her treacherous voyage
And embarked on foot over
Rolling hill and winding roads
After many years of travel
Her keen sense of intuition told her
She was nearing her destination
One morning as it came to pass
Her soul was on fire with knowing
As she cast her eyes upon
A charming blue-eyed girl
Who’s soul radiated light
I smiled brightly
A gesture of kindness
As this unearthly beauty
Stood before me
Her skin appeared to glow
Her hair was the color
Of a burning sunrise
I couldn’t help smiling
As she cast her light upon me
She had a magnetic energy
That drew me toward her
I had to get to know her
I’d found a kindred spirit
She submerged me in her warmth
Her nearness sent intense pulsations
Coursing through me
Currents of thermal heat
Pumping in my veins
I could feel my destiny changing
My essence transcending as radioactive
Okay, seeing the word prompt of the day as radioactive, I couldn’t help being utterly inspired. The first thing I did was listen to Linsey Stirling and Pentatonix “Radio Active.”
Then I remembered recently seeing a cute image on Pinterest inspired by Madame Marie Curie, whom of course I couldn’t help thinking of when talking about the topic of radioactivity. She’s such an inspiring woman of science in history!

I’ll have to check it out! I just listened to/watched all of Lindsey Stirling’s Christmas album, some of it’s a little different from her usual pieces, but I quite enjoyed it! 🙂
You impress me with the words you use in your poems, provides such imagery! 🙂

I’m glad to hear that, I definitely want my writing to come to life like many of my favorite authors do. 😊
I will definitely enjoy them for sure, thank you!😁❤️
🙂 🙂
Just thought I would let you know that I was thinking more of what you said about men having natural poker faces, when you commented on my Friday’s stories post. I thought I would ask Colin and Tippy who also had commented on that post. I think you will like their answers. Though I am guessing your face may look like mine when you read Colin’s answer. LOL! He is a joker!
Hehe I will have to read their answers!😉
Its part of what makes blogging so much fun. 🙂
I wholeheartedly agree!😊
Ha Ha! 🙂
I am pretty confident that if you reply to either one of them, you will probably get a response. 🙂
I just checked out their answers, I agree women are generally on average more emotional and “wear our hearts on our sleeves” where as men as my husband put it “can compartmentalize their feelings.”
Yup, tis true. 🙂
😁
