Spread the love

Hello, my rays of sunshine!

It’s national candy day, so I thought I’d start the week ahead on a note of sunny sweetness and divine deliciousness.

From his lips she consumed

The golden nectar of the gods

It’s sacchariferous quintessence

Flowed through her veins

His lifeblood now her own immortality

Granted these tantalizing goodies cannot promise the immortality of the gods, they do promise ambrosial delight. Here are a few of my favorite toothful sweet treats.

Sugarfina’s Candie’s

You can find all sorts of sweet delights on Sugarfina’s website, a few of my personal favorites are their Sugar Lips and their Heavenly Sours, which are both vegan-friendly candies.

    1. I’m not much of a sweets eater, but when I do it’s us it’s a craving for fruity gummy type candies.😉 All the fun colors have me sold!🙃😁

      1. Yes I agree agree the fun colors and shapes are definitely most of the whole fun.😊

      1. Lol..I generally dislike having my foods stick to my mouth and teeth. And I love fruity flavors.😘

  1. I didn’t realize you were vegan, Jenna! I’ve always been curious about it. It was really exciting to hear that there’s actually a holiday for sweets! Aside from chocolate bars, I love tamarind & ginger candies. There’s also peach rings 🙂

    1. It’s actually vegan month too this month. 😉 Sometimes it’s hard not living in a city where being vegan isn’t as popular. But it’s come a long way over the last 10 years in the options that are available. I like ginger candies too. Ginger is so good for you.😊

  2. Such a sweet post Jenna! I am more of a chocolate and hard candy type but my kids adore gummy candies and we go berserk buying various varieties during Christmas. 😀😀

    1. I enjoy dark chocolate on occasion, the darker the better.😉 My husband has quite the sweet tooth though and can eat just about any kind and be happy.😄

    1. Haha…That was me after my fourth grade class yesterday, before my kindergarten. There was something odd in the air yesterday. Lol 😉

    1. It was something I started randomly about a month ago, but wasn’t sure how to finish it . Then I saw that it was national candy day and it clicked. I definitely agree, they flow quite nicely together.😉😁❤️

      1. 😁 Right now I’m baking homemade pumpkin peanut butter Oatmeal bars, I can’t wait to have one.😉

      2. I actually end up having the inspiration to turn them into protein balls instead.🙃😘 I’ll have to take some photos and share the recipe in a blog post.😁 They’re so good!😋
