Moonglade

Selene plunged into the sea

It’s moonglade enchanting her

Moonstruck she surrendered

To its warm embrace

The waves gently caressing her

Rocking her to and fro

Its enticing rhythm lulling her

Tranquility flowed through her

Exonerating her from the

Weight of her lunar duties

Insouciant she swam free

Charmed by the songs of the sea

Stumbling on the word moonglade this morning I couldn’t help but feel inspired. The moon goddess Selene’s urge to play and surrender to the call of the sea is simply divine. It allows her to give in to the needs of her soul and spirt. A gentle reminder that we all need to remember to take the time to play and do the things that fill us with joy and a sense of tranquility.
