Spread the love

Today’s word of the day at Dictionary.com is legerdemain (trickery, deception, sleight of hand). I couldn’t help thinking of the many characters in mythology, DC/Marvel Comics, and folklore. As such, I decided to combine the mythology of Loki with the relationship of Loki and Thor from the Marvel comics.

Loki, a deity in mythology and in Marvel comics is a complex character, generally seen as a fool and creator of chaos. Though, I love the lure of hope in the complexity of Loki and Thor’s relationship. In the video I shared below you can see the bond they have regardless of Loki’s chaotic neutral tendencies. It gives me hope to know that even in a world of chaos good can still happen.

Thor and Loki

There’s been much strife and chaos growing in the world in current times. It brings fear, worry, and anguish to many. In my heart, I know there are many good people in the world and each act of kindness puts a ripple effect of good into the world.

As we enter a new week I encourage you to think about what little acts of kindness you can put out into the world to add more light to the chaos and darkness that exists in the world.

Have a wonderful week, may it be filled with light, love, and hope.

  1. Love your post Jenna…the poem, the video and your beautiful thought. Just a while ago I was reading in the newspaper that little acts of kindness can help keep depression at bay!
