Happy Friday, it’s time for this week’s Fun Friday Flashback
ABOUT THE TAG
Every Friday I will post a questionnaire, photos, quotes and/or a poem on a specific “topic” taking us back in time and nominate 3 bloggers, who in turn will post about that SAME topic (with their own unique spin) and nominate 3 bloggers of their own, spreading the“Fun Friday Flashback” and send them traveling through time and space.
It’s all about taking fun trips down memory lane and choosing the best way possible to travel back in time. Today’s travel through time will take you back to your favorite era of the 1900’s…What era from the 1900’s do you find fascinating and why?
I can’t help myself the Roaring 20s is one era from the 1900’s that downright fascinates me (it was a difficult choice between the Roaring 20s and the Swinging 50s). I don’t know there’s just something about the Gatsby Flapper style that I find alluring.
Check out this adorable 1920’s Gatsby hairstyle by Abby Smith from Twist ME Pretty. She has tutorials on how to do this hairstyle along with many other fabulously adorable hairstyles, I follow her youtube channel and I’m addicted to her adorable hairstyles and fun bubbly personality.
You can find these adorable flapper dresses on unique vintage. I also found super adorable and budget worthy flapper dresses on Amazon or this adorable youtube 1920’s outfit DIY is truly the “bee’s knees,” she’s got some fun tips on creating this fun retro look.
It truly makes me want to put on my glad rags (fancy clothes) and get my gams (a woman’s legs) out on the dance floor.
These dance moves are really swell (wonderful)!
Hey, nobody ever said you couldn’t put your own unique modern twist on a classic fashion trend…check out this diva from Chictopia rocking a flapper-inspired style with a modern twist.
