It's Not Selfish to Love Yourself

It’s easy to lose sight of who we are and what’s important to us when weighed down with the our day to day lives and all the negativity in the world. It’s important to make time for self-reflection, whether or not it’s through journaling, music, writing, drawing, or meditating. Regardless of the method, it’s important to take time to connect with yourself and love yourself, beautiful imperfections and all.

I leave you with my quick sunrise yoga and self-love meditation that I did this morning as a welcome to the rising sun for a wonderful week ahead. A brief reminder that I am enough and to be gentle with myself when the going gets rough.

Happy Monday, I wish you all a wonderful week ahead remember when the going gets rough, be gentle with yourself because you are enough!

May your week be filled with love, light, and hope!

  2. My dear Jenna,

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts and words ๐Ÿ™‚

Sometimes it is very hard to see the single tree in the forest and nevertheless truth can be very simple. For example when we love God and see God working in everyone, as in everyone is the temple of God, risiding in our body, deep in our hearts, then we love everyone, including ourselves as it is respect and love towards God. So we find four ways of love: 1.) – we love others, a few (like relatives, friends, partners) – but lack to love ourselves 2.) – we love us, first and foremost, and love others – but very likely not everyone 3.) – a mixed form love and 4.) – when loving God first – all is included, including ourselves – no matter if anyone of us has this or that shortcoming – as we love God in them all, in us too. It means that we do not love the sins in man but God in him.

A big hug from heart to heat in thankfulness
