We always say that it’s important to live every moment in the present and that time is precious, which of course both are definitely true. However, sometimes life throws us curve balls that we may not be ready for, or don’t see coming. This makes it a challenge to bat a home run in every situation.
Admittedly, over the last few months, I’ve found myself caught up in the hustle and grind. Sometimes, I forget to appreciate the little things. I know that when I begin to feel like this, I need to schedule a little more “me time,” so I don’t get lost in the shuffle of the day-to-day.
We’re all guilty of this sometimes, as it’s hard not to get caught up in the daily grind. Scheduling daily/weekly activities for yourself can help maintain a healthier self-care routine. Hold yourself accountable for keeping these scheduled appointments, just as you would for any other daily meetings/appointments. Schedule in a short walk outside during the middle of the day for 5 or 10 minutes to clear your mind do a short 3, 5, or 10-minute meditations using the Breathe (or another app of your choice). These are great ways to clear your head and help you feel refreshed, grounded, and self-aware.
Two of my favorite self-care tools are yoga and meditation. Yoga and meditation are a great way to help you feel inspired, grounded, and connected to your inner self. I personally have found yoga and meditation helpful in finding my inner strength and courage. Yoga and meditation are great tools to help you stay connected to yourself and the world around you.
